Field to Fork


Prince Edward Island has been called the "million acre farm" so it's not unusual for our food to come from only a few kilometres from our homes It doesn't get much fresher than that and Chef John Pritchard delights in creating amazing dishes featuring Island products.

If you're here on a Wednesday or Saturday, John will meet you at the Charlottetown Farmers' Market where the aromas are just amazing and he'll introduce to you to the producers he gets his ingredients from. We can't tell you what you'll be preparing later because that will be decided by what's available at the Market.

The meat or seafood that will be paired with the fresh veggies and herbs comes from local producers. (Don't worry if you're not here on Market days. John has his own kitchen garden and he also has farmers bring produce right to his door. You're still in for an amazing culinary experience regardless of the day of the week!)

In John's state of the art kitchen, you'll take part in the prep work determining the final menu, working on the appetizers and desserts while learning all about proper knife work, portioning and alternate cooking methods. (Trust us...John makes this all fun!)

John will also share his secrets for how to plate the perfect meal so it looks just as good as it tastes. Then you'll sit down with John to enjoy the fruits of your labour and leave with a great appreciation for the Island way of cooking.

*Children must be over 10 years old

Available: Daily by appointment. 2:00 pm-8:00 pm; must be booked a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

Fee:
$140.00/pp + GST (4 participants)
$125/pp + GST (5 - 8 participants)
