Celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism with DiverseCity - PEI's largest, family-friendly, free, outdoor, street festival held June 30th 2013 on Victoria Row in Charlottetown!

DiverseCity will once again be held in Downtown Charlottetown June 30 celebrating all the cultures that bring their talents and traditions to PEI. This family-friendly event will feature live music, dancing, ethnic food, children’s activities, and cultural demonstrations. The festival is hosted by PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada and takes place from 4–10 pm on Vctoria Row, Richmond Street.

Diverse City 2013 Program

Live Entertainment (4:00 - 7:00pm): Acadian, Bhutanese, Chinese, Filipino, Iranian, Irish, Korean, Lebanese, Mi’kmaq, Peruvian and Scottish dancers or musicians, and much more!  Global Jammers -- cross-cultural brew of music, dance, drumming and audience participation

International Food Fair (4:00 - 7:00pm): Enjoy international flavours from around the world!

Cultural Craft Fair (4:00 - 7:00pm): Handcrafted items by newcomer artisans -- beauty products, toys, art, bags, books, origami, jewelry, and other unique products for sale

Games and Activities (4:00 - 7:00pm): Basket weaving, Calligraphy, Children’s art activities, Face painting, Games (Bao & Mahjong), Henna art, Hair braiding & Martial arts demonstrations.

Information Booths (4:00 - 7:00pm): A variety of ethno-cultural associations will be on site with information and interactive demonstrations

Headliners & Street Dance (8:30 - 10:00pm): The Count and the Cuban Cocktail
