Anne of Green Gables: The Musical™

The 2015 musical, now the world's longest running annual production at 51 successive seasons, will be directed by Festival favourite and former associate artistic director, Wade Lynch (director of The Ballad of Stompin' Tom; Dear Johnny Deere; Come-All-Ye for the Festival). The world-renowned production will feature the Festival orchestra and 23 outstanding Canadian performers, including all new leads as Anne, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, Rachel Lynde, Gilbert, and Diana. These major casting announcements will be made in the months ahead.


Alice Through the Looking-glass

Making its Atlantic Canadian premiere, this visually splendid production follows young Alice, who climbs through her living-room mirror, entering a world of wonder populated by such fantastical characters as Humpty Dumpty and Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Children and adults alike will be delighted by this spectacular, playful journey into the topsy-turvy realm of the dreaming mind.

Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad

Written by Cape Bretoner Michael Melski, this equally tender and hysterical romantic comedy follows two lonely single parents who find love in the sidelines -- watching their kids play a season of minor hockey from the bleachers. While reflecting on our national obsession, the pair discovers the best and worst in themselves.

Bittergirl: The Musical

Reveling in "getting over getting dumped," Bittergirl follows three women in their plunge from what they think is romantic bliss to total breakup and through the journey back to happiness. Making its world premiere as a musical, this hysterical romp features a song-list of 60's doo-wop hits such as Dion's 'The Wanderer,' The Sherelles' 'Days Like This,' The Ronnettes' 'Be My Baby,' and many more.

Evangeline - Book, Lyrics & Music by Ted Dykstra
September 14 - October 10, 2015

Back by popular demand! Written and conceived by Ted Dykstra and channeling Longfellow’s famous poem, this historical epic recounts the tale of star-crossed lovers Gabriel and Evangeline, torn apart during the 1755 Acadian Deportation. Inspired by traditional Maritime and Cajun music, Evangeline is driven by a rich blend of Broadway ballads and lush ensemble numbers, as performed by 34-member cast.
